Having served for almost 3 decades as a minister of counseling in a church-based context, Don is uniquely qualified to help you with many of the struggles in life. With a pastor’s heart and the experience of a seasoned therapist, Don has gifts in providing a safe environment and a clarifying experience for his clients. Trained both as a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a licensed pastoral counselor, he has developed expertise in helping couples struggling with a variety of relational issues (conflict, emotional regulation, infidelity, etc.) Don also works with individuals and families dealing with emotional and relational struggles and has led numerous intensive marriage retreats throughout his career.
Don’s training includes a bachelor’s degree in Social Work from the University of Kentucky, a master’s degree in Divinity from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and completed the Post-master’s Certificate Program in Marriage and Family Therapy at the University of Louisville. Don is also an Approved Supervisor in the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy.

Carmen is a licensed Psychological Associate, with an M.Ed. and Ed.S.in Counseling Psychology, a Gottman Method Couples Therapist (Level Two), a Certified Symbis Pre-Marital Assessment Facilitator, and has over twenty years experience, working seventeen of those in the professional counseling ministry for Southeast Christian Church.
Jay Close has helped many people deal with difficult times, as a minister and therapist. A particular gift for Jay is his ability to understand people’s struggles and work with them to create hope for change. Jay enjoys helping folks learn about themselves and those they love. Jay also practices and teaches meditation. He is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Kentucky, a Fellow in the American Association of Pastoral Counselors, and an Approved Supervisor with the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy.
Jay is available for counseling about a life transition, grief, couple or family difficulties, anger, anxiety, depression or other issues.
Crissy is a Marriage and Family Therapy Associate who works with teenagers, adults, couples, and families with issues including anxiety, depression, codependency, trauma, and relationship issues. She is certified in “Prepare and Enrich” and Gottman’s Level 1 training for marital therapy.
Jason is a Marriage and Family Therapy Associate and Certified Social Worker who has experience working as a Home-Based Therapist with Department of Child Service and Probation cases. A certified Juvenile Sexual Offender Counselor as well, he works with children and families facing substance abuse, behavior management, and sexual addiction.
