Marriage counseling can take many different forms, because couples often seek our help in various stages of their relationships. We believe a strong, healthy foundation can be the basis for a successful marriage. However, we’re realistic enough to know that problems and issues can surface in any marriage. It’s how the couples approach those unique situations that determines whether it’ll strengthen or destroy the relationship.
Issues Many of Us Encounter
There are numerous issues that can threaten a marriage. Many of them can be new for the couple. Unfortunately, others can be ongoing and unhealthy. We want to listen to you, so we can understand what you’re experiencing and how those situations are making you feel. We also realize that often only one person seems to recognize the problem, while the other can be seemingly unaware or unwilling to admit it exists.
Some of the issues we see involve the following topics:
- Emotional intimacy
- Sexual intimacy
- Conflict resolution
- Establishing healthy boundaries
- Baggage from the past
- Struggles with extended family
- Pre-marital counseling
